The Australian Swim School is proudly a family-owned swim school, offering year-round swim lessons for infants, toddlers, children and adults since 1977!
With locations in Santa Ana, Placentia and Tarzana, California, we combine proven teaching techniques with the Aussie philosophy of squeezing every drop of fun out of every day.
Our swim class routines emphasize group movement, proper swimming technique and skill development while utilizing verbal, visual and tactile corrections from our trained swim instructors.
Our philosophy has always been the same: embrace the wonders of infant and toddler swimming by starting little ones as early as three months old. Swim at least once a week in our progressive program that emphasizes correct technique from the beginning, and your little fish can progress through our program and graduate from swim squads as an accomplished swimmer with skills that truly last a lifetime.

Swim Class Levels
Our program is specifically designed to teach each child a specific set of skills in a sequential manner to successfully progress them to the next level. Each level is structured to build from the one prior to it; adding a few new skills with each promotion! Opposed to many other swim schools, our program has a strong focus on technique and form. We believe that even if it means keeping a child in a particular level for a bit longer, giving the necessary attention to this element of swimming is essential for your child’s future swimming ability and efficiency.
Watching your child(ren) move up through our program is one of our favorite parts of what we do! We love watching your little ones grow while teaching them life-long skills they take with them into future swim programs and making sure they know the essentials of being water safe. Our program allows students to feel a sense of ability and confidence by being acknowledged for their achievements for each level!
